That has to be a good thing!
More Internet Traffic
There are enormous benefits for those who can market and promote themselves effectively when writing for the web. This is what copywriters do.
Web copy is so important because it can contribute so much to the overall success of your blog.
If you have effective copy then people will act on what you have to say. That in turn brings you more traffic and traffic is what all blog posts need for results.
Copywriting when done well is persuasive. It persuades you to do something or take some action.
Web Content and Web Copy - the Difference
Some examples of copy are your title or it could be a link saying "subscribe now". All of these words you write are urging the reader to follow on.
Web copy differs from web content in that content provides the information.
When writing content remember to:
Use lists as they are easier for the eye to follow.
Use lists as they will simplify organization of your page.
The content needs to answer the question the searcher is using. It needs to answer the query that appears in your browser. So when you have finished providing information in your content then you revert back to copy. This is where you will persuade the reader to take the next step of the process.
Headlines (titles) are important examples of copy. Whether it is a sales letter, blog post or article it needs to grab the reader's attention. Your aim is to persuade the reader to continue with the next sentence. The first line of your copy should not try and "sell" anything.
Post title tags on your blog will be compelling and keyword rich. However if you have to choose between the two, go with what's compelling to attract readers first. No use having a keyword rich title if the blog post is ignored.
Key words matter most in titles when writing for articles. So your focus with articles is different than when writing a title for your blog posts. Write the most compelling headline you can, but it absolutely must include attractive key words.
Better Results
Including these few points mentioned above will see improved results for you over time. Effective web copy in your blog posts will bring benefits for both the reader and you.
