You need to be very careful that the focus on SEO is not to the detriment of the readability of the site.

Try writing your content and copy for your visitors in your first draft and ignore the search engines. Why? Because too many people get "SEO" in their mind and lose sight of the more important goal of creating a good user experience.

Concentrate on making sure your copy and content will appeal to your readers. If there is too much of an overtone of manipulation in your writing then this will alter the free flow of information.

By compromising the user experience in a bid to get more traffic you end up with a bit more traffic in the short term. The trade-off is that you end up with a site that is less attractive and that probably has a lower conversion rate. As a result your business will suffer in the long term.
